Description
Industrial Electrical Systems – Proficient in troubleshooting 480V/277V/120V AC circuits, control wiring, and three-phase systems.
5+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience.
- PLC Troubleshooting – diagnosing Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs and HMI interfaces.
- Motor Controls & Drives – working with VFDs, servo systems, motor starters, and relay logic.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – performing routine inspections, thermal scans, and maintaining detailed records in a CMMS system.
- Safety & Code Compliance – strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Mechanical & Pneumatic Knowledge – working on mechanical components (actuators, conveyors, pumps) as part of troubleshooting.
- Testing Equipment – using multimeters and megohmmeters.
- Instrumentation (a plus) – calibrating and maintaining sensors (thermocouples, transducers).
Associate degree or technical certification in electrical maintenance, industrial technology, or mechatronics, and/or 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or unionized environment.
- Mechanical Systems Expertise – troubleshooting industrial machinery, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics – troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and compressors.
- Machine Assembly & Fabrication – disassembling, repairing, and rebuilding complex equipment components.
- Equipment Commissioning & Start-up – installing and testing new machinery or upgraded systems.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – planning and executing routine inspections, lubrication schedules, and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Tools & Equipment – competent using torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, hoists, cranes, and other mechanical tools.
- Safety & Compliance – solid knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Automation & Robotics (preferred) – understanding of industrial automation systems and ability to assist engineers in upgrades or integrations.
- Electrical Drawings & Schematics – reading, interpreting, and updating electrical blueprints and control diagrams.
- Testing Equipment – skilled using thermal imaging cameras.
- Advanced Diagnostics – precision tools, vibration analysis, alignment tools, laser alignment, and thermography to detect and resolve issues.
- Mechanical Drawings & Schematics – reading mechanical blueprints, P&IDs, and schematics.
- Welding & Machining (optional but preferred) – MIG/TIG welding, lathe/mill operation, or fabrication skills.
