City of Carbondale, Illinois seeks a full-time Utility Maintenance Worker for the Sewer Collection and Water distribution systems. The role involves manual maintenance, meter reading, and assisting Meter Services; reports to the Water and Sewer Supervisor.
Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma, a valid CDL Class B with endorsements within 60 days, and the ability to obtain a Class “D” water operator license within four years. Overtime and emergency work are common.
