Position Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and optimize advanced CNC machinery at customer facilities, ensuring peak performance and customer satisfaction.
- Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and repairs to maximize machine reliability and minimize downtime.
- Travel approximately 70% throughout North America, with occasional international travel, to support installations, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and service projects. When not traveling, provide remote technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation to support headquarters engineering teams with root cause analysis, complex troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement.
- Demonstrate the flexibility to follow established standard operating procedures while also applying critical thinking and innovative problem-solving when situations require non-standard approaches.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Applications, and Customer Support teams to resolve technical challenges and continuously improve service quality.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing responsive, professional, and solution-oriented technical support.
- Deliver hands-on operator and maintenance training, empowering customers to maximize the performance and longevity of their equipment.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer demonstrations as a technical expert and trusted resource.
- The ideal candidate is an independent problem solver who enjoys diagnosing complex electromechanical systems, interacting directly with customers, and delivering exceptional technical service in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on industry experience.
- Minimum of 4 yearsof experience servicing, maintaining, or troubleshooting electromechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with integrated mechatronic systems, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and motion control technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex CNC machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Exposure to PLC programming or basic programming concepts (such as C++) is considered an asset but is not required.
- Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus and will support communication with a broader customer base but is not required.
