Plumber
Join a residential plumbing team where you diagnose and repair plumbing systems, install water heaters, fixtures, and piping, and ensure every customer receives professional, high-quality service. You will handle a variety of residential service calls, from clearing clogged drains to consulting with homeowners on the best repair or replacement options, while maintaining strict compliance with local codes and safety standards and accurately completing work orders.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential plumbing issues, identifying root causes and effective repair solutions.
- Repair and maintain residential plumbing systems, including leaks, broken pipes, fixtures, and related components.
- Install water heaters, plumbing fixtures, and piping systems in accordance with local codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Rod out and clear clogged drains and plumbing lines using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Consult with customers to explain findings, present repair or replacement options, and answer questions in a clear and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every visit, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor in customers' homes.
- Ensure all work complies with local building and plumbing codes as well as safety standards and company procedures.
- Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and related documentation in a timely manner.
- Use mobile work order and scheduling applications to receive assignments, update job status, and document work performed.
- Manage time effectively to complete daily service calls, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean, safe, and operational condition.
- Follow all safety protocols on job sites, including proper use of tools, materials, and personal protective equipment.
- Hands-on experience in residential plumbing service, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of plumbing systems.
- Ability to install and repair piping systems using PVC, copper, and cast iron materials.
- Proficiency in soldering and assembling piping and fixtures to ensure durable, leak-free installations.
- Apprentice card or journeyman plumbing license required.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve plumbing issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with homeowners.
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively across multiple service calls.
- Commitment to safety and strict compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Professional demeanor, reliability, and consistency in completing assignments and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with water heater installation and repair, including traditional tank-style units.
- Familiarity with advanced plumbing systems such as tankless water heaters and home water filtration systems.
- Basic plumbing knowledge related to integrated home systems and modern residential plumbing layouts.
- Comfort using mobile work order and scheduling applications on smartphones or tablets.
- Ability to work throughout a broad geographic area and adapt to different residential environments.

WorkEnvironment
This role is field-based and involves working in and around residential homes throughout the Bloomington area. You will travel between service calls in a company vehicle, entering occupied homes and interacting directly with homeowners. Work is primarily performed indoors within residential settings, using standard plumbing tools and equipment as well as mobile work order and scheduling applications. The environment requires adherence to safety practices, respect for customers' property, and a professional appearance appropriate for in-home service visits.

This is a permanent position based out of Bloomington, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41,000.00 - $84,000.00/yr. Company vehicle, extended training, commissions, full health benefits.
