Excel Prep is a specialized school dedicated to supporting students with developmental and learning disabilities through individualized education and evidence-based approaches. Position Overview:
Excel Prep is seeking a compassionate and highly organized Caseworker to join our student support team. The Caseworker will play a vital role in coordinating services, supporting families, and helping students succeed by serving as a bridge between the school, families, and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for student case management
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administration to support student success
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, needs, and resources
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on student cases
- Assist families in accessing outside services (therapy, evaluations, healthcare, etc.)
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
- Monitor and follow up on action items related to student services
- Provide crisis management and support when needed
- Prior experience in case management, social work, or a related field (school or nonprofit setting preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate, patient, and driven to support students with diverse needs
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required;
Masters degree in a related field is a plus(MSW preferred).
- Familiarity with IEPs or special education services
- Comfortable working with neurodivergent students and their families
