Green Recycling is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Route Driver / Recycling Collection Specialist to join our growing team in Bloomington, Illinois. In this hands-on role, you'll operate a collection vehicle, service recycling collection sites, and help support our mission of diverting reusable textiles and footwear from landfills.

Our drivers are essential to our success and play a key role in providing dependable service to our collection partners and communities.

• Full-time position
• Consistent five-day workweek
• Early morning start times
• Home every day
• Saturday work required based on business needs

• Safely operate a company vehicle along an assigned collection route
• Service textile collection bins and donation locations
• Load, unload, and transport collected materials
• Stage and organize materials at designated locations
  
  Complete route logs and other required documentation
• Communicate route updates, maintenance concerns, and site issues to management
• Follow all DOT regulations, state driving laws, and company safety procedures
• Provide professional and courteous service at collection locations
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card (Fed Med)
• Minimum of one year of professional driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions

• Frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and climbing in and out of vehicles
• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout an entire shift
• Ability to work safely in hot, cold, wet, and other outdoor conditions
