The O'Neill School Career Hub is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part‑Time Office Administrative Assistant to provide front‑line administrative and data support. This role is essential to daily office operations, student service, and data collection efforts.
Department Specific Responsibilities- Answers and routes calls on a multi‑line phone system.
- Schedules appointments using Handshake and Outlook.
- Responds to email and in‑person inquiries related to Career Hub services, events, O'Neill programs, and internships for credit.
- Refers students and families to appropriate IU offices and departments.
- Supports data entry, data collection, and data cleaning for office metrics and the First Destination Survey.
- Submits purchase orders (POs), orders office supplies, and makes travel arrangements for staff as needed.
- Performs additional administrative duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
- 1 year of experience in a fast‑paced office environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and professionalism
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
The appointment is anticipated to run through the end of May. Renewal of the position may be possible for academic year 2027 (August 2026‑May 2027) based on successful performance and available funding.
Bloomington, Indiana
$16.68 – $17.98 per hour
Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, when campus is operational.
