Part-Time Graduate Recording Assistant

GRADUATE SCHOOL (BL-GRAD-IUBLA)

The mission of the Graduate School is to ensure excellence in graduate education, build and sustain a diverse community of scholars, promote personal and professional development, and contribute to the success of all graduate students on the Bloomington campus. We accomplish this by providing services and support to graduate student faculty and staff, from recruiting and admissions through degree completion.

• Works with records management and other administrative needs.
• Maintains, updates, and secures confidential student academic records, databases, and files.
• Responsible for performing administrative and clerical work and a variety of non-routine tasks related to the maintenance of student academic records.
• Works in conjunction with the Graduate Recorder and Assistant Graduate Recorder to review and approve graduate student progression documents.

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).

• Prior office experience.

• Attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable working with confidential records.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Up to 20 hours per week.
