Job Title: Hospitality Valet Attendant – Luxury Hotels, Resorts & Events
Department: Valet Parking Operations
Reports directly to: Guest Service Coordinator
Schedule: Full Time / Part Time
Status: Non‑Exempt
Compensation: Valets can average $13.00 – $20.00+ per hour (after tips and base pay combined). Rates vary by market; tips are based on service performance and customer interactions.

Position Summary: As a Valet Attendant, you are the first impression and final goodbye for guests. You create a welcoming, professional experience from arrival to departure, safely parking and retrieving vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service with energy, confidence, and attention to detail.

Primary Objective

Provide courteous, efficient, and safe valet services, ensuring vehicle security. Warmly greet guests, assist with vehicle drop‑off and retrieval, manage traffic flow, and address inquiries professionally while following company policies and operating vehicles with care.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspections
    :
    Conduct vehicle damage inspections and document parking locations on claim tickets.
  • Safety
    :
    Safely and efficiently park and retrieve guest vehicles while adhering to key handling procedures and all safety protocols.
  • Compliance
    :
    Maintain attendance and time‑keeping policies, clock in/out for shifts and breaks, and accurately report tips.
  • Housekeeping
    :
    Keep valet areas clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Customer Service and Teamwork
    :
    Handle challenging situations with professionalism, resolve problems promptly, support colleagues, and recognize team accomplishments.
  • Attendance and Professionalism
    :
    Maintain regular attendance, adhere to company policies, arrive on time in full uniform, and be properly groomed before clocking in.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    :
    Perform other tasks as needed to support operational goals, attend required staff meetings, and complete all training modules on time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Competency/Qualifications
    :
    Perform essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be provided.
  • Education/Experience
    :
    High school diploma or GED; customer‑service experience preferred; a helpful, willing attitude is mandatory.
  • Certificates and Licenses
    :
    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with no more than three moving violations in three years; clean background check required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Requires stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods, often in varied weather. Must maintain a professional appearance, uniform, and grooming standards. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential. Work occurs in indoor and outdoor parking facilities, corporate settings, and can involve noise, moving vehicles, and exposure to the elements.

Cell Phone Use

Employee may need to use a personal cell phone for work communication and coordination. Reimbursement follows company policy.
