CAMPUS CHILD CARE SUPPORT (BL-CCCS-IUBLA) – Indiana University (IU) Early Childhood Education Services (ECES) supports high-quality experiences for children, families, and our employees. ECES provides year-round, high-quality care and education at nationally accredited centers for children ages birth through 5 years, with child-centered, active learning environments based on research-supported best practices. Programs are led by degreed teachers and supported by campus services and national accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

The ECES centers at IU Bloomington meet the academic mission by providing sites for student training and serving as research sites for faculty and students, while modeling high-quality early education for the Bloomington community and the state of Indiana.

• Part-Time Morning Teacher Aide
  • Assists the full-time teachers in providing a welcoming, calm, and nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers.
  • Interacts directly with children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and assisting with children’s personal care.
  • Assists with some food preparation and light cleaning.
• Part-Time Rest Aide
  • Assists the full-time teachers in creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere where children can rest.
  • Interacts directly with children during quiet activities like reading stories.
  • Assists with some light cleaning.
• Part-Time Lunch/Rest Time Aide
  • Assists with lunch setup and some light cleaning. Lunch is provided.
  • Assists the full-time teachers in creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere where children can rest.
  • Interacts directly with children during quiet activities such as reading stories.
• Part-Time Afternoon Teacher Aide
  • Assists the full-time teachers in providing safe and engaging experiences for children.
  • Interacts directly with the children indoors and outdoors, singing songs, playing games, and providing or assisting with children’s personal care.
  • Assists with some light cleaning and end-of-day room closing preparations.

• Required:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

• Related experience

• Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information
• Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Seeking to acquire knowledge in the area of specialty

This role frequently requires the ability to remain stationary and ascend/descend ladders or stairs. The role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 40 pounds and to notice items in proximity as well as far away; discern colors and objects in peripheral space; and have good depth perception. The person in this role must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

• Part-Time Morning Teacher Aide:
  Monday - Friday, Infant and Toddlers 7:30 - 9:30 AM / Preschoolers 8:00 - 9:30 AM
• Part-Time Rest Aide:
  Monday - Friday, 12:15 - 2:45 PM
• Part-Time Lunch / Rest Time Aide:
  Monday - Friday, 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
• Part-Time Afternoon Teacher Aide:
  Monday - Friday, 3:30 - 5:30 PM
