2026-27 Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science Human Resources
The Department of Political Science invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science. We seek candidates with a specialization in comparative or international politics, with a preference for candidates who have area expertise in European or Asian politics, analytical expertise in political institutions (inter nationalor domestic), and the ability to teach U.S. foreign policy. This position is a fulltime, nine month, on-campus, benefits-eligible position.
Benefits include health careplan and access to tuition programs for employees and dependents. The start date forthis position is August 15, 2026 with an end date of May 15, 2027.
Responsibilities: The teaching load for this position is 8 courses, 4 in each semester. In some cases,more than one iteration of a specific course might be offered as part of the 8-course requirement.
Qualifications: The successful candidate should have a Masters degree (required) or a Ph.D degree(preferred) in Political Science, and a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience atthe university level.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Nine-month appointment
- Salary Range: 62-65K , and based on experience
- The final candidate will pass a pre-employment background investigation.
