Position: Sunday Coordinator – City Kids City Church For All Nations

Start Date: On or around March 1st, 2026

Position Overview:

The Sunday Coordinator for City Kids will play a key role in creating a welcoming, organized, and engaging environment for children at City Church. This individual will oversee curriculum development, and classroom preparation within the City Kids ministry. The role includes coordinating with volunteers, teachers, and the City Kids Media Leader to ensure smooth operations each week.

Responsibilities:

Classroom Preparation:Ensure that all classrooms are prepped with necessary curriculum materials prior to services.
Curriculum Writing:Write and update the monthly curriculum for City Kids, tailoring lessons to fit the spiritual growth and developmental stages for each age group.
Service Leading:Confirm all scheduled volunteers and fill any open positions to ensure full coverage for each service. Ensure classrooms are properly set up and equipped with lesson materials. Oversee service flow and address any issues that arise to support a smooth and safe experience for children and volunteers. This includes Sundays and occasional evening events such as Revival Nights.
Student Auditorium Lead:Ensure the volunteer roles are scheduled and confirmed for media, audio and City Kids Worship team on weeks they are needed and ensure the flow of the service stays on track with the timing and activities.
Production Oversight:Work alongside City Kids Worship and Media for all services.
Lesson feedback:Observe and advise teachers on lesson implementation and give necessary feedback.
Parent Communication:Write and distribute a monthly parent newsletter, providing updates on upcoming lessons, events, and City Kids news.
Supply Management:Ensure classrooms are stocked with necessary curriculum supplies and materials. Regularly replenish supplies in all classrooms.
Classroom Organization:Organize and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all classrooms.
Video Lesson Production:Plan and coordinate quarterly video lesson recordings to support the curriculum.
Discipleship:Connect with area leads for Student Auditorium, Kindergarten and Preschool classrooms relationally ensuring their growth and support in life and as it pertains to the area they serve and communication as it pertains to leadership and classroom needs.
Curriculum Oversight: Oversee the curriculum for all classrooms and collaborate with the City Kids Media Leader to ensure materials are available, and media resources are integrated into lessons.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children in either ministry, teaching or related fields.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to select and organize an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Comfortable leading events and coordinating with volunteers.
Alignment with church core values and mission
Strong relationship with Jesus Christ and actively seeking out a relationship with him by daily practice of spiritual disciplines.

Preferred

Skills:

Familiar working with curriculum development and implementation
Ability to work with Microsoft and other necessary applications
Willingness to learn additional software and applications necessary to complete tasks
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to guide, motivate, and develop team members.
Highly organized with strong administrative skills.

Hours:

This is a full-time role at 40 hours a week working Sunday-Thursday with the Children’s Director in the Student Ministries Department.
