Position SummaryThe Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for several tenure‑track and tenured faculty positions in Cybersecurity, at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels. We seek exceptional researchers and educators whose work advances the science and practice of cybersecurity, and whose research complements the School’s strengths in systems and software security, data privacy, human‑centered security & privacy, trustworthy AI, and related areas.
Successful applicants will join a collaborative academic community with strong cross‑disciplinary ties in computing, engineering, law, policy, and health, and contribute to the School’s strong academic programs and multidisciplinary collaborations across campus, including the BS in Cybersecurity and Global Policy and the MS in Cybersecurity Risk Management programs.
These are 10‑month faculty appointments with a preferred start date of August 1, 2026, although an earlier or later start date is negotiable. Tenured and tenure‑track faculty are expected to substantially contribute to overall academic excellence by developing and maintaining a robust research portfolio, securing major extramural funding, teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and providing service within the department, school, and university.
ResponsibilitiesFaculty will conduct cutting‑edge research in cybersecurity, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and serve the department and university community. They will also be expected to collaborate with IU Research and the Applied Research Center (ARC) on national security challenges.
QualificationsApplicants must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Informatics, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution, and demonstrate a strong record of research productivity and potential for excellence in teaching and service. Candidates for associate and full professor levels must demonstrate a sustained record of scholarly leadership and impact appropriate for a senior career level.
