Assistant Principal

POSITION DETAILS:

The Assistant Principal supports the overall administration of the school, working collaboratively with the principal and staff to promote a safe, positive, and effective learning environment. Responsibilities include supporting instruction, student services, school operations, and family/community engagement.

* Full-time administrative position (1.00 FTE)

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Valid and appropriate Indiana Administrator's License or ability to obtain

* Master's degree required

* Minimum of three years of teaching experience

* One to two years of teacher-leadership experience preferred

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE

* Strong instructional background and understanding of best practices

* Evidence of data use to inform decisions and improve student outcomes

* Demonstrated ability to work closely with various socioeconomic and/or cultural populations

* Understanding of, and commitment to, supporting Dual Language Immersion programming and cross-cultural competence among students

* Experience with MTSS, Special Education, and student support services

* Experience supporting diverse learners, including English language learners

* Experience with supervision, staff support, and professional growth

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

* Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, families, and community partners

* Knowledge of current educational research and practices

* Demonstrated leadership aligned to corporation goals and initiatives
