Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified and motivated clinical track faculty member focused on education. The successful candidate will hold a PhD and/or MD and will be responsible for teaching gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and/or neuroanatomy to medical and health professional students. Additional duties include overseeing the department’s outreach mission, providing anatomy‑ and physiology‑based science outreach to K‑12 and post‑secondary students across Indianapolis and neighboring states.
The candidate should be collaborative and eager to participate in interdisciplinary teams, contributing to the department’s entire educational mission. Opportunities exist for course development across the School of Medicine, IU‑Indianapolis campus, and the broader Indianapolis area.
- Teach anatomy, histology, embryology, and/or neuroanatomy to medical and health professional students.
- Oversee K‑12 and post‑secondary outreach programs in anatomy and physiology.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines for course development and educational innovation.
- Participate in departmental and school service activities.
- Mentor graduate and health professional students in medical education projects (preferred).
- Doctorate or terminal degree (PhD and/or MD) required.
- Significant background in teaching anatomical disciplines to medical and health professional students.
- Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to educational missions.
- Background in mentorship of graduate and health professional students is ideal.
