Position Summary
- The Department of Physics at Indiana University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in the area of theoretical condensed matter physics. Applications from candidates with experience in low-dimensional quantum matter, including quantum Hall systems, van der Waals and moiré materials, cavity quantum materials, and/or quantum geometry and topology are particularly welcome. The successful applicant will be joining a vibrant department, with active theoretical and experimental research in condensed matter and AMO physics, as well as correlated condensed matter, quantum materials, driven/dissipative systems, and quantum information and simulation.

The position is for one year, renewable annually contingent upon satisfactory performance and funding, with a competitive salary and benefits package, and would begin July 1, 2026 (start date is negotiable). Applications, including a CV, a statement of research achievements and interests, and three letters of recommendation, should be submitted through the application portal. Review of applications will start on February 15, 2026, and will continue until the position is filled.

Basic Qualifications
- Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics.
