Temporary, part-time faculty
Compensation for under 5 credits is $1,650 per semester credit. Those teaching more than five credits are temporary part‑time employees and can move to the faculty salary schedule.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree with a major in the STEM field you are applying for
- Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in the STEM field you are applying for
- Coursework beyond the Master’s degree
- Post‑secondary teaching experience
- Experience serving diverse and underserved populations
- An understanding of the community college mission and its unique population
- Experience in online learning and/or course delivery using web‑based course management systems such as D2L
- Experience in using innovative teaching and learning approaches
- Experience providing specific strategies to create a sense of belonging within the classroom
- Experience teaching courses with innovative teaching practices to support the success and retention of underrepresented students, including students of color, first‑generation students, and Pell‑eligible students
- Evidence of continuous professional development related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Demonstrated commitment to collegial activities – service on committees, developing assessment, and guiding students
