Position SummaryThe Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a position in the Percussion Department in general/orchestral percussion/timpani. Applicants who also possess skills in the areas of drum set and/or world percussion are encouraged to apply. Regardless of the areas of specialization, expertise and versatility in teaching all aspects of percussion will be expected. The successful candidate will be able to attract highly talented students and will be able to prepare them for careers as percussionists in a wide variety of settings.
BasicQualifications
Established national/international reputation and demonstrated ability as a performer and teacher, able to attract highly talented students. Significant experience in general/orchestral percussion/timpani performance. Master's degree required, doctorate preferred; comparable professional experience will be given equal consideration.
