The Student Engagement and Global Learning Specialist in the Hutton Honors College supports the development and implementation ofhigh-impact co-curricular experiences that foster student involvement, leadership, and campus community, with primary responsibility for student organizations, honors housing, and collaborative programming that enhances the overall student experience.

• Advances global learning initiatives by supportinginternationally focused programs, including study abroadengagement, intercultural programming, and opportunities that promote global awareness and cross-cultural competency among students.
• Builds upon strategic partnerships, advises student leaders,and contributes to a holistic, globally connected environment for Hutton Honors students, while working across student affairs andglobal education partners.
• Manages finances related to the Hutton student organizations by monitoring account balances, overseeing purchasing for student-organization sponsored events, reconciling transactions in Emburse, processing internal transfer documents in Kuali Financial System (KFS), and processing external payments to Self-Governed Student Organization's (SGSO's) and other vendors through BUY.IU,etc.
• Oversees the Hutton House Program and works with student leaders and faculty mentors to develop distinctive programming forthe Hutton Houses.
• Works closely with Communications/Events Specialist and with Director of Academic Administration and Operations to schedule,publicize, and execute extracurricular and student organizationprogramming and events.
• Maintains the HHC events calendar by coordinating with student organization leaders, HHC functional area directors, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence to scheduling policies and minimize conflicts.
• Liaises with IU Housing regarding the Hutton Honors Communities and placements.
• Manages an assigned portfolio of short-term study abroad programs, including collaborating with relevant stakeholders tomake program arrangements, creating and maintaining programhandbooks, delivering pre-departure and re-entry meetings, and submitting program reports.
• Serves as a member of program and scholarship application review committee(s).
• Travels internationally to provide onsite student support and oversee program logistics during assigned Hutton Honors Study Abroad programs.
• Acts as point of contact during Hutton Honors Study Abroadprograms and enacts designated role within the Hutton Honors Study Abroad emergency plan, as needed.
• Collaborates with other members of the Hutton International Experiences Program (HIEP) team to plan and execute globallearning-focused events, including study abroad fairs, culturenights, speaker series, etc.
• Supports compliance and documentation procedures, includingcompiling and preparing program data.
• Stays current on country-specific, federal, and IU policies and regulations on international study and travel.
• Cross trains to support other functional areas within theHHC.
• May serve on relevant departmental or campus committees.
• May provide guidance to student workers and volunteers.

• Develops and implements programs and initiatives geared at improving student engagement and involvement outcomes at the program, department/division, or campus level.
• Interfaces directly with students, attending student life events and programs and gathering satisfaction feedback fromstudent participants to implement into future student lifeinitiatives and objectives.
• Collaborates with staff in own department and other departments, as well as student organization leaders, on shared student life goals, often coordinating funding to sponsor student life initiatives.
