About Bitcredit Protocol
Bitcredit is building the credit money layer for Bitcoin-native trade finance.
Our users finance real trade on Bitcoin settlement rails using electronic bills of exchange. Sellers can receive liquidity earlier, buyers receive commercial payment terms, and emerging economies can grow and prosper.
The RoleBitcoin removes settlement risk but not credit risk. We are looking for a Credit Analyst to build, maintain, and operate the credit framework for free, open-source Bitcredit mints, which we call Wildcats.
Wildcats cannot create credit out of thin air. They must assess trade obligations before accepting or minting electronic bills of exchange. Your job is to define how this assessment works: questions, required data, risk grading, default probabilities, and exposure limits.
This is a foundational role for someone who understands trade finance, commodity finance, factoring, invoice finance, or bill discounting. You will help bring these to Bitcoin.
ResponsibilitiesYou will:
- design a credit framework for bills of exchange, focus is SMEs in emerging markets;
- define efficient onboarding questions and minimal required data for counter parties;
- analyse financial statements, trade flows, receivables, payment behaviour, sector risks, tenor, jurisdictions, and trade documentation;
- create frameworks that assign risk probabilities and recommend exposure limits;
- use AI to build and run interview, monitoring and early-warning processes;
- improve the framework as Wildcats gather practical performance data;
- work closely with trade finance experts, product management, and engineering.
You should have:
- 3+ years in credit analysis, trade finance, commodity finance, factoring, invoice finance, or supply-chain finance;
- strong financial-statement and cash-flow analysis skills;
- self-guided drive, practical judgement, not just model knowledge;
- experience with SMEs, traders, producers, commodities, or supply chains;
- ability to build processes from scratch;
- clear written English (English is the main working language);
- high integrity when handling sensitive financial information;
- good knowledge of Bitcoin or genuine curiosity about it.
Central Europe or Vienna is strongly preferred. Remote or hybrid work is possible for an excellent candidate in a compatible European time zone.
Why JoinThis is an early-stage, high-ownership role in a small, senior team. Your work will directly shape how credit on Bitcoin supports real-world trade.
Your compensation reflects experience and market rates. Long-term participation in the project’s success is possible for excellent candidates.
