Job SummaryThis position is within Treasury Operations in the Office of the Treasurer. The Finance Specialist works closely with departments and external vendors to help maintain and support the university'soverall credit card compliance.
Department-Specific Responsibilities- Reviews and approves credit card compliance documentation forall university merchants.
- Visits university merchants regularly to review policy compliance and help optimize their existing revenue collection processes.
- Acts as the Backup Security Administrator for banking andcredit card systems.
- Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and training forcredit card terminals and e-commerce systems.
- Regularly reviews and updates Treasury documentation such as training materials, compliance documentation, and knowledge basecontent.
- Uses practical technology skills to help merchants maintain secure credit card connections and adhere to Payment Card Industry(PCI) compliance standards.
- Updates and manages Treasury's data dashboards to monitor transaction volumes, processing fees, and payment trends.
- Guides departments through the process of setting up new waysto bring in revenue while staying aligned with Treasury policies
- Performs routine independent analysis of daily cash flows, cash payments, interest charges and earnings, and other financial andcash flows metrics.
- Reconciles account statements and cash transactions;troubleshoots and corrects basic and moderately complex errors,escalating more complex errors as needed.
- Responds to employee inquiries and requests and explains fiscal policies and procedures.
- May provide organizational treasury training.

Education Required- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).
- Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP).
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism.
- Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.
- Demonstrates a high commitment to quality.
- Possesses flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty.

- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) databases.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards(PCI DSS).
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus. Theperson in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work LocationBloomington, Indiana This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between remoteand in-person work), subject to change in the future based upon university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary$60,000. annually based on qualifications
