Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in cardiac and general nuclear medicine procedures.
Responsibilities- Work in a 3-room nuclear medicine unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients
- Typical caseload is 13-15 patients per day
- Day shift schedule is 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Procedures include cardiac, bone scan, liver/spleen scan, lung scan, thyroid studies, tumor localization, and myocardial studies
- Preferred experience with brain scan, renal flow, and SPECT procedures
- Equipment includes Siemens (preferred)
- Charting is done with Cerner EMR and Cerner experience is required
- Travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of requested time off can be auto-approved
- Local candidates are accepted for this allied position
- Anyone previously employed as perm or PRN must be separated for 12 months before consideration as a traveler
- Minimum of 2 years recent nuclear medicine experience
- Proficiency in IV starts and PACS
- Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university
- Indiana or Compact license required if applicable
- Must be able to perform the required and preferred nuclear medicine procedures
- Cerner charting experience required
