Responsibilities
  • A Radiology Tech at Monroe Hospital functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
  • Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound or Special Procedures according to department protocols.
  • Participates in PI/QC activities and assists in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
  • Oversees radiology area and/or staff in manager/director absence.
  • Maintains department supplies and distributes imaging workflow; promotes teamwork and excellent customer service.
  • Does scheduling for assigned sub-departments and maintains supplies and equipment for the sub-department.
  • Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
Qualifications
  • Education and experience:

    licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by state; appropriate national certifications in two modalities required.
  • Current BLS (AHA).
  • Must be familiar with state and federal regulations.
  • One year of acute clinical radiography preferred.
  • Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT.
  • Proficient computer skills.
