Emergency Department Registration Associate

Onsite at Bloomington Hospital. Day shift from 7a-7p.

Come join our Team! Bloomington is looking for a dynamic individual to join our System Patient Access Registration team. This entry-level role serves as the first point of contact for our patients and is critical in ensuring a positive experience from the moment people walk through the door. To be successful in this position, you must be detail-oriented, patient focused, dependable and consistent in your attendance and timeliness.

There is a mandatory 2-week training Monday through Friday – 8 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Registration experience is preferred but not required for the role.

• Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Ensure timely and accurate patient registration
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality
• Provide information and answer patient inquiries
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations

• At least one year of experience in hospital or physician Revenue Cycle strongly preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of patient registration and financial clearance.
• Requires a high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires the ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
