Radiologic Technologist
Position OverviewWe are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures while providing safe, compassionate care to patients. The Radiologic Technologist will follow physician orders, properly position patients and equipment, and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Position patients and imaging equipment accurately to obtain quality images.
- Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively.
- Capture images of tissues, bones, organs, and vessels for diagnostic purposes.
- Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain a safe imaging environment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Assist with the administration of radiation therapy treatments or radiopharmaceuticals when applicable.
- Follow department policies, quality standards, and infection-control procedures.
- BLS certification required
- ARRT Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R)) required, OR graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology training program.
- Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Radiologic Technologist license required, OR current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
- Strong patient-care and communication skills.
- Ability to safely operate radiologic imaging equipment and follow established protocols.
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
