The 189 room IUBiddle Hotel is the largest hotel in Bloomington, Indiana. Atthe IU Biddle Hotel, guests enjoy upscale accommodations andfirst-rate amenities while being steps away from some of Bloomington's best dining, shopping, arts and entertainment, andnightlife. Located in the center of campus in the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) the Biddle Hotel gives our guest access to unique event spaces, comfortable lounges, and 9 different dining options during their stay with us.

Department Specific Responsibilities
- Welcomes Visitors, Guest, Alumni, and Students to the IMU andIU Biddle Hotel.
- Restocks supplies and conduct basic troubleshooting on parkinggate equipment.
- Monitors IMU Circle and help maintain proper traffic flow.
- May assist with guest luggage handling and sense of arrival tothe IU Biddle Hotel.
- Communicates and coordinates with other departments to help create a great guest experience.
- May drive university vehicle for business needs.
General Responsibilities
- Attends parking lots and facilities.
- Maintains professionalism in adverse or stressful situations;provides positive customer service by answering visitor questions regarding directions, parking policies, and event information.
- Assist with traffic control at booths.
- Issues tickets using a handheld computer.
- Informs supervisor of infractions to departmental policy.
- Counts and reconciles cash from drawer in preparation for dailydeposit and completes written reports of daily activity.
- Responsible for general upkeep and cleanliness of parking boothand parking facilities.
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
- Some prior experience in related field
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Preferred
- Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insuredby Indiana University upon date of hire.
SKILLS
Required
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism
- Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills
- Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
- Able to deal with many tasks concurrently including iratecustomers, answering questions, and reporting problems.
- Ability to read and learn parking regulations, departmentalprocedures, and policies and give customers correctinformation.
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus. Theperson in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
