HR Generalist / Talent Management, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as a key resource for HR service delivery in a variety of functional areas such as employee relations, talent management, compensation administration, staff development, organizational design and workforce planning, and policy interpretation / guidance.
- Given the size and complexity of the College, this HR work requires consistent partnership with department Chairs and leadership, ensuring timely support for faculty and staff matters across a large and varied portfolio of units
- Supports university and campus initiatives related to HR, such as employee engagement, performance management, staff recruitment and retention, budget processes, and organizational design/ effectiveness.
- Utilizes and applies in-depth academic and staff HR body of knowledge and skills to provide tactical guidance for HR related matters like salary administration, hiring, training, and policy interpretation.
- Resolves and provides solutions for more complex employee relations issues with continued partnership, counsel, and support from Centers of Expertise (COEs).
- Provides HR support for academic personnel processes, including administration for academic leaves, policy review and consultation, visa-processing coordination, and facilitation of promotion and tenure procedures.
- Collaborates with other business partners and managers to improve and build effective relationships to improve employee engagement and identify "high priority" retention needs.
- Coaches leaders to help determine best solutions regarding policy interpretation, performance issues, workforce planning, change management, conflict resolution to ensure alignment and consistency across the university.
- Provides HR consulting and problem-solving solutions on issues to leaders and managers.
- Collaborates with HR COEs to roll out and support university-wide initiatives, ensure client's needs are understood and met, and deliver change management interventions.

EDUCATION Preferred- Bachelor's degree.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
- 3 years of Human Resources or related progressively responsible experience.
- SHRM-CP/PHR within 1 year from date of hire.

- Develops and delivers effective presentations.
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.

- Strong working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation practices, compliance with federal and state laws.
- Possesses detailed knowledge of Federal, State, and Local employment laws/regulations.

- Demonstrated experience working with enterprise HR systems.
- Salesforce CRM (HR console)
- People Soft Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) or similar applicant tracking systems
- Hyland OnBase or comparable document and records management systems
- Experience with HR transactions across multiple systems.
- Experience maintaining personnel records or supporting hiring processes.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, detail-sensitive environment.
- Proficiency navigating multiple HR systems and managing system-based workflows.
- Strong data accuracy with the ability to audit and validate information across systems that support the employee life cycle.
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

$60,000 - $65,000 per year, based on education, skills, and experience.
