Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of executive leadership in a financial institution (credit union preferred)
• 15+ years in financial services with a deep understanding of credit union operations, member expectations, and cooperative principles
• Strong financial acumen with a proven ability in balance sheet management, asset/liability management, margin optimization, liquidity, and overall financial performance
• Demonstrated success in setting strategy and executing initiatives that meet or exceed board expectations
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, develop talent, and lead through leadership transitions while maintaining a strong, collaborative culture
• Experience working with regulators and managing enterprise risk
• Broad understanding of credit union operations, including lending, payments, and digital delivery channels
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner with the board.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience); ongoing professional development in financial institution leadership; CCUE and/or CUDE designations preferred

• Set and execute a clear vision for long-term growth and sustainability
• Oversee financial performance, including balance sheet strategy, ALM, liquidity, and interest rate risk
• Build and sustain a strong, accountable, and engaged organizational culture
• Develop leadership talent and ensure effective succession planning
• Maintain a visible and accessible leadership presence
• Keep member value at the center of all decisions
• Strengthen IUCU’s presence and partnerships within the community
