DepartmentSpecific Responsibilities
- Provide operational and project management support for the CEIE, ensuring all programs and activities are run smoothly and achieve their goals.
- Work under the direction of the CEIE Director to design, plan, and coordinate day‑to‑day activities across CEIE's four pillars to implement the strategic vision of the CEIE (academic programs, entrepreneurship support, Evergreen venture fund operations, support and research and development).
- Design, plan, and coordinate CEIE programs and events, including venture studio course logistics, workshops, showcases and partner convenings.
- Support implementation of the CEIE Venture Studio by coordinating faculty and student teams, tracking venture milestones, arranging mentor meetings, and documenting project plans and timelines, as directed by the Director and faculty leads.
- Recruit students, faculty and partners into CEIE programs using established channels and researching new venues and methods of recruitment.
- Manage CEIE program operations with collaborative units, including IU Innovates, the Kelley School of Business, and other IU schools, ensuring that timelines, activities, and information flows are aligned with agreements set by the Director.
- Oversee communications and serve as liaison to program participants, collaborators in other units, community partners, vendors, and the public on operational and logistical matters.
- Construct and administer CEIE program budgets at the operational level, track expenditures, process purchasing and travel requests, and prepare reports on projected and actual spending for the Director and higher management.
- Research available grants and funding opportunities aligned with CEIE activities and assist the Director and School staff in creating funding proposals and writing grant reports.
- Support basic tracking and documentation related to CEIE Evergreen Fund awards and other internal funding (e.g., seed grants to ventures), maintaining clear records of awards, deliverables, and timelines.
- Plan, direct, and implement programs or events, including the creation of materials to support these events.
- Provide staff communications and serve as liaison to program participants, collaborators in other units, community partners, vendors, and the public. Approve staff purchase requests; arrange staff travel, accommodations, and research activities.
- Provide mechanisms, training, and advice on a variety of issues such as budget management software and advanced strategies for timely spending of grant funds. May be responsible for meeting revenue targets.
- Recruit, train, direct, schedule, and evaluate faculty and staff partners, students, and volunteers. Mentor, serve as a resource and provide guidance to team staff members as needed.
- Research available grants and work closely with managers to identify funding needs and potential sources, create grant proposals that further advance support of the program and program participants. May be responsible for meeting revenue targets.
- Construct and administer program budgets and approve spending. Track progress on deliverables, analyze data on projected spending and prepare reports for higher management and funding sources.
- Keep abreast of best practices to recommend policies and procedures that deliver a quality program experience.
Education
Required
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred
- Advanced degree in a related field.
Work Experience
Required
- 2 years in a related field.

- 5 years of relevant experience in program management, project management, higher education administration, or a related field.
