Description
The Retail Branch Manager I grows consumer and business customer relationships, drives community engagement, and strengthens inside/outside partner relationships while delivering the Woodforest Experience to every customer, every day, every time.

Key Responsibilities- Achieve branch sales and revenue goals by proactively identifying, marketing, and recommending banking products and services beneficial to the customer.
- Be a "Keeper of the Woodforest Culture" and create energy around Retail objectives and initiatives.
- Recruit, train, retain and motivate staff to ensure profitability, sales, customer experience, compliance, and growth objectives for assigned branches within the region.
- Develop and lead strategies to grow, retain and deepen consumer and business relationships.
- Proactively grow business deposits and loans through inside and outside business calling.
- Enhance customer experience and the Bank's reputation by greeting, engaging, and developing relationships with retail partners and customers.
- Embrace and lead a technology-driven customer experience.
- Lead and execute a community engagement strategy with a Community Development Relationship Manager to be an engaged community partner.
- Inspire and lead team members to reach their full potential.
- Demonstrate flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
- Be proactive in seeking business outside of the branch.
- Be a goal-oriented, disciplined team leader with strong interpersonal skills and sales aptitude.
- Be open to direct coaching and feedback.
- Work flexible or extended hours to meet business needs; demonstrate reliability.
- Show passion for taking care of people, applying effective problem-solving and maintaining composure with customers and team members.
- Know or quickly learn products, services, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and the sales/service process.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills, prioritize workload, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understand instructions, forms, applications, and be familiar with financial statements and credit reports.
- Minimum Qualifications/
Experience:- 5 years of relevant and transferable sales and/or customer service experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- 1 year of experience leading and directing activities of a sales team.
- Individuals at this level typically report to an on-site manager and may mentor junior staff but do not typically have formal management responsibility.
- Previous in-store banking experience is preferred but not required.
- Positive and engaging attitude; we prefer candidates who reside within our community.
- Formal Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Work Status:
Full-Time. - Supervisory Responsibility:
Responsible for all personnel and employment decisions at the assigned branch/location. - Travel:
Up to 50% or more outside of the branch, as needed by the customer. - Working Conditions:
Standing for long periods; may involve walking, bending, stooping or sitting for brief periods; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
