The Warehouse Specialist (weekend shift) is responsible for receiving, shipping, storage, inventory accuracy, and picking operations to support both internal and external operations, from receipt to final product shipment. Responsibilities include conformance to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs), supporting warehouse cGMP compliance, operating powered industrial vehicles (PIV), and driving/loading/unloading Work-in-Process (WIP), Finished Goods (FG), and Raw Materials (RM) between Simtra locations. The weekend Specialist supports production (for both Filling and Packaging operations) through staging and preparation of batches, truck driving/movement of materials, and maintaining up-to-date inventory.
The Warehouse Specialist will cross-train in all Supply Chain warehouses and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
This position is required to work all designated plant holidays. When holidays fall on a Mon-Wed schedule, Thurs-Sun will be adjusted to maintain 3 x 12 hours. Work shifts are:
Friday - Sunday 6:00pm - 6:30am.
- Safe loading and unloading of trucks, including BOL/packslip verification and damage assessment.
- Proper packing of material for shipment.
- Utilization of various systems required to ship materials (Fed Ex, UPS computers).
- Proper documentation of shipping, receiving, or batch dispensing activities including active drug product and finished product.
- For all processes (Receiving, Shipping, Dispensing, Driving) receive and fill orders and perform order status inquiry; adjust orders as necessary when damages or shortages occur.
- Prepare inventory for transportation and monitor progress to assure efficient completion of duties.
- Ability to travel to perform duties in multiple locations.
- Compliance with worldwide regulatory agencies (DOT, IATA) and other company SOPs and regulatory requirements in warehouse activities.
- General warehouse duties including cycle counting, temperature monitoring, work order picking, ERP navigation, inventory accuracy, and material storage.
- Powered industrial truck operation and related material handling equipment usage.
- Respond to environmental chamber alarms.
- Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
- This role may perform other duties as assigned.
Will be required to drive company trucks for transport of material and must obtain a For Hire license prior to start date and adhere to related requirements. For Hire License endorsement is required.
- Use company computer systems to initiate reports, track and transact inventory, and other activities.
- Coordinate movement of material and order picking between warehouses and all company locations at the correct product temperature.
- Complete dangerous goods Bill of Lading (BOL) where required for dangerous goods.
- Perform daily vehicle inspection and cleaning and ensure proper operation of temperature control unit.
- Download truck data and refuel trucks at scheduled intervals.
- Adhere to Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). material from Raw Materials warehouse and operate barcode scanning equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate’s degree preferred. - Minimum 1 year of warehouse and/or technical office experience required.
