Full‑Time – Second Shift 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Wages starting at $24.50/hr experienced candidates may be eligible to start at higher pay. Pay will be determined based on experience and skill set.
Bloomington Crushed Stone is an underground and surface limestone mine/quarry seeking a Stockpile Truck Operator for our operation located in Bloomington, IN. This position offers a union environment with excellent pay, pension, and benefits.
Responsibilities- Operate haul trucks or articulated dump trucks to transport shot rock, crushed limestone, or fines from the plant or pit to designated stockpile areas.
- Dump loads in an organized manner to build safe, stable stockpiles of different aggregate products.
- Perform daily pre‑and post‑ inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
- Effective communication skills applicable to position.
- Routine equipment/plant maintenance
- Involved with plant improvement projects
- Inspect and perform daily repairs and maintenance on plant
- Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, and other equipment
- Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Dedication to safe work practices.
- Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
- Ability to perform general laborer and clean‑up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
- Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
- Able to provide valid documentation for the I‑9 Immigration document.
- Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen.
