Material Handler

Printpack Bloomington is looking for a candidate to fill a Material Handler position on a Monday-Thursday shift (7 AM-7 PM).

The ideal applicant is reliable, detail-oriented, safety-compliant, a team player, and maintains good attendance.

• Have a general understanding of rack numbering systems, tags, raw materials, and WIP
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move materials
• Operate stretch wrap machine and banding equipment
• Perform routine safety inspections of lift equipment
• Supply the department with materials in a timely fashion to avoid machine downtime
• Perform daily housekeeping chores such as sweeping and 5S activities as time permits
• Document inventory locations using handheld electronic devices

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Stable work history

• Strong time management skills and ability to follow instructions
• 1-3 years experience in material handling and use of forklifts (stand-up & sit-down), pallet jacks, powered pallet jacks, or related equipment is preferred

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, squat
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to wear PPE including hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses
