Printpack Bloomington is looking for a candidate to fill a Material Handler position on a Monday-Thursday day shift (7 AM-7 PM). An ideal applicant is reliable, detail-oriented, and adheres to safety standards. Being a team player is essential, as all tasks require close collaboration with co-workers. Good attendance is a must.

The Material Handler ensures the safe, efficient, timely, and accurate movement of materials and product throughout the plant to support production and plant operations. This position works a day shift (7 AM-7 PM, Monday-Thursday) for a total of 48 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Have a general understanding of rack numbering systems, tags, raw materials, and WIP.
- Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move materials.
- Operate stretch wrap machine and banding equipment.
- Perform routine safety inspections of lift equipment.
- Supply department with materials in a timely fashion to avoid machine downtime.
- Perform daily housekeeping chores such as sweeping and 5S activities as time permits.
- Document inventory locations using handheld electronic devices.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Stable work history.
- Strong time management skills and ability to follow instructions.
- 1-3 years of experience in material handling and use of forklifts (stand-up & sit-down), pallet jacks, powered pallet jacks, or related equipment is preferred.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, squat.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to wear PPE including hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses.
- Must demonstrate Core Values.
- Must be in good standing with no disciplinary action or attendance issues.
- Performer or higher on last performance review.
