Responsibilities- The Bradford Woods Camp Nurses are responsible for providing healthcare and maintaining safety for campers and staff.
- Provides professional medical care for participants and staff as needed.
- Manages daily health needs by assessing and evaluating the condition, including responding to emergencies and administering medications.
- Initiates emergency measures as necessary and intervenes appropriately in crisis situations.
- Maintains accurate health records in accordance with camp policies and state regulations.
- Oversees and ensures the proper use, care and control of medical equipment and medications.
- Works closely with Camp Administrative staff and Counselors to ensure proper safety and care.
- Required — Associates degree in nursing
- Preferred — Bachelors degree in nursing
- Required — 1 year nursing experience
- Preferred — Bradford Woods camp experience or similar medical camp; working in a non-traditional outdoor environment
- Required — Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana upon date of hire
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities

This is an active, hands-on role that requires physical mobility and stamina. Some overnight duties are required due to the residential nature of our camps.
Positions require working both indoors and outdoors including cabins, dining hall, program areas, or trails. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Location and ScheduleMartinsville, Indiana. This is an in-person position. $750 per week. Flat weekly rate of pay is prorated for any missed days. At least 8 hours per day, typically Sunday–Friday. Nurses are scheduled as needed with no guarantee of work every week.
