This Surgical Services unit functions within Bloomington Hospital, where we have 14 operating rooms and 2 open heart rooms. Our Surgical Services team members perform a variety of services, including cardiovascular, gynecological, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and DaVinci procedures.
Shift Requirements (OR):
This is a Special Weekend Option assignment. The RN for this role will work 48 out of the 52 weekends of the year (Saturday/Sunday) from the hours of 7am - 7:30pm. This position has minimal on-call, but requires a 30-minute response time to the facility.
Premium Pay:
As part of the Special Weekend Option program, RNs in this role will work receive a 40% increase to their hourly rate when working the weekends.

Qualifications:
* Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN);
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
* Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
* Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions:
Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
* Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
* Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
