Assignment: 5-month contract, start date 2 weeks from offer
Type: Temp to Perm (opportunity to extend or go permanent based on business needs)
Pay Rate: $75.00/hr
Schedule: Full-time (Average 30–32.5 hours/week), every other weekend, possible holiday rotations
Benefits: Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment. A 401(k) with company match is available after 1 year of service.
Position SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner Float will collaborate with a dedicated clinical care team to provide evidence-based primary and family care to a panel of patients. The team works with providers daily to improve health outcomes across the patient population. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of acute and chronic health conditions, health counseling, and disposition planning. This role reports directly to the Practice Manager.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care:
- Deliver comprehensive primary and family care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health management.
- Perform routine physical examinations and diagnostic testing.
- Provide chronic condition management and preventive health screenings.
- Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and wellness strategies.
- Coordinate care plans with other healthcare professionals.
- Encourage patient engagement in personal healthcare and overall well-being.
Administrative & Operational Duties:
- Open and close clinic as required.
- Maintain clinic cleanliness and organization.
- Manage inventory and supplies.
- Verify insurance coverage and collect payments.
- Conduct patient follow-ups.
- Manage patient appointments and scheduling.
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current National Board Certification.
- Active State license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Minimum of 1 year recent primary care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in family medicine or primary care practice preferred.
- If not, successful completion of internal primary care training program required.
- Current BLS certification (copy required upon offer acceptance).
- DEA registration required at time of offer acceptance (unless otherwise noted).
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure.
- Strong working knowledge of quality measurement and chronic disease management.
- Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision.
- Proficiency in information management and healthcare technology systems.
- Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Self‑motivated with initiative and problem‑solving skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a float capacity.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a clinical care team.
- Comfortable working within a team‑based care model.
- Full-time, average 30–32.5 hours/week.
- Every other weekend and occasional holiday rotations.
- All positions are safety‑sensitive.
- This is an in‑person, patient‑facing role.
