Unit OverviewOur emergency department is a level III trauma center with 53 beds. We see patients from all ages and diagnoses. On this unit you can earn the following certificates: TNCC, ENPC, SANE, CEN, TCRN, and CPEN.
Nursing Skills Gained- Obtain TNCC, ENPC, SANE, CEN, TCRN, and CPEN certificates
- Providing patient care in a fast‑paced environment
- Understanding how to balance nurse‑to‑patient ratios while providing excellent patient care
- Become a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner/Forensic Nurse Examiner through the SANE/FNE program
- Dynamic fast‑paced environment
- Team members help foster new RNs and develop their skillsets in the ED
- Leadership pathways to help you grow in your career
- Participate in a robust Interprofessional Practice Council led by bedside team members and discuss opportunities to make real changes at the bedside

- Associate of Nursing (ASN) required;
Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- RN graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
