Job Description
Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The role involves determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and providing medical support under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including standing orders and transport to emergency care.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for staff and manage employee incidents.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfilled state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completed FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

The estimated range reflects experience, skills, and location. The actual wage offered will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements.
