Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular

Job Summary

Position:
Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Nurse at Bloomington Hospital, part of IU Health's Surgical Services unit.

Provide circulating support for cardiovascular procedures, assist with anesthesia care specific to complex cardiac and vascular cases, manage a broad case mix, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, circulate in the main operating room and participate in service line rotations (gynecology, neurology, orthopedic, general, vascular). Ensure adherence to safety standards, efficiency, and high‑quality patient care across all specialties.

Full‑time days. On‑call every third weekend and 2‑3 days throughout the week. Must be able to be at Bloomington facility within 30 minutes of on‑call notice.

• Circulator RN experience
• Procedural skill development
• Comprehensive understanding of surgical services (Pre/Post, OR room, Endo, PACU)
• Time management skills

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) required;
  Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or active NLC RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; candidates without that may be considered if they have more than two years acute care experience, subject to review.
• Basic Life Support certification through AHA.
• Other advanced life‑support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
