Registered Nurse - Operating Room

This position requires 1+ years of clinical RN experience. External applicants are eligible for a $30k sign‑on bonus, and interns may be eligible for a prorated bonus dependent on current position and FTE.

This Surgical Services unit functions within Bloomington Hospital, which has 14 operating rooms and 2 open‑heart rooms. Team members perform cardiovascular, gynecological, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and DaVinci procedures.

Various shifts and statuses are available. There is minimal on‑call, however team members must be able to respond to on‑call notice and be at the Bloomington facility within 30 minutes.

Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN);
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

Requires RN graduates from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates who have not graduated from such a program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer.

Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
