The ED Boarding RN is embedded in the Bloomington Emergency Department. A nurse in this role is expected to provide inpatient level of care to those admitted awaiting bed placement. These patients are at a Med Surg Tele and PCU level of care. The patients for this population are not always boarded in the ED and may be placed in other areas throughout the facility.
The RN for this role may be asked to float to one of our Acuity Adaptable units.

Qualifications:
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN) Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
