Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations and ensure donor safety and regulatory compliance. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Physician for medical issues.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and physical examination.
- Perform blood testing and review laboratory results.
- Manage donor adverse events and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Notify donors of unsuitable test results and refer to Physician or Medical Affairs for clinical concerns.
- Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, seasonal flu) for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation by occupational health/ER.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized to investigate pandemic threats.
- Provide environmental, health and safety support per EHS guidance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment: RN, NP, or PA.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfil state IV therapy requirements.
- Successfully complete FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
- Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Location: USA – IN – Bloomington
Hourly Wage Range: $31.68 – $43.56
