5E is a Med/Surg unit with 30 beds dedicated to respiratory, infectious diseases, and general Med/Surg care. You can earn a certification in Med Surg/Progressive Care on this unit. The culture emphasizes teamwork, learning, and succession planning in nursing.

• Deliver patient care on a Med/Surg unit, adapting to varying acuity levels.
• Develop bedside and procedural skills; pursue Med Surg/Progressive Care certifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care and participate in succession planning and ongoing professional development.
• Demonstrate time management and flexibility to manage patients across acuity levels.

• Associates of Nursing (ASN);
  Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions considered for candidates with >2 years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA; other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit policies.
