Plasma Center Nurse – RN

Job Description

The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations under guidance of the Center Manager and Physician. Responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, providing donor notification, and supporting emergency protocols.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including coordination with the Center Physician.
• Refer unacceptable findings to appropriate physicians or medical affairs.
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and consult occupational health/EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completed FDA-approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

$31.68 – $43.56 per hour (U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives and benefits).
