Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, focusing on patients with psychiatric and personality disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Perform nursing duties to assigned patients, utilizing foundational knowledge of psychiatric conditions.
- Administer medications after passing a medication administration exam.
- Assist in restraint and seclusion procedures, following policies and protocols.
- Graduation from an accredited vocational nursing program.
- Licensed to practice from the State Board of Nursing or as a Psychiatric Technician.
- Minimum of one year psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- CPR certification and completion of HANDLE WITH CARE training within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and handle psychiatric emergencies.
