Description:
This position is for a float nurse capable of working in different areas. Patients will be stable and can be moved to inpatient units as necessary. The unit may accommodate up to 10 patients depending on staffing needs. Nursing staff may include a nurse/CNA or nurse/LPN based on acuity. Team nursing will be implemented, requiring collaboration with LPNs. The environment is fast-paced with a high number of patient admissions and discharges.
Nurses may need to handle patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6. Floating to inpatient PCU units will be required based on patient census. Flexibility to work every other weekend is necessary. Candidates must comply with all documentation requirements as per the designated system. Ability to manage high patient turnover is essential. Nurses should be equipped to provide care at a variety of levels, including Med Surg tele and PCU level of care.
Ratios will be adjusted based on patient acuity and surge needs. Candidates with prior charge experience are preferred. This is a direct service-oriented role focused on effective patient care outcomes.
