Responsibilities

  • Participate in site audits to identify hazards such as pinch-points, electrical hazards, forklift traffic, etc.
  • Help with implementation of 5S program throughout the plant, including organizing labeling and floor marking activities.
  • Assist in updating risk assessments.
  • Participate in the submission of monthly EHS metrics.
  • Participate in audit walks, workplace observation program, and corrective action determinations.
  • Assist in the execution of the EHS improvement plan.
  • Actively participate in / help facilitate weekly safety committee meetings.
  • Assist in the administration of the facilities compliance calendar.
  • Participate in / lead safety projects as assigned with the help of the EHS manager.
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks at the discretion of site management.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program (in a related field of study) with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task.
  • Problem‑solving skills, assertiveness, and strong initiative.
  • Team‑oriented thinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning.
  • Minimum completion of sophomore status in good standing preferred.
  • Participation in school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles preferred.
