Environmental Monitoring Technician; 3rd shift

Microbiology Technician

This entry-level position in the Microbiology lab works independently to perform routine sampling and process samples in support of the Microbiology department. The position reports to a Microbiology Supervisor.

Working hours:

Monday - Thursday 6:00pm-4:00am.

• Control samples in environments per the Sampling Master Plan using aseptic technique.
• Document and process samples in a laboratory environment.
• Perform real‑time risk assessments of the manufacturing areas and processes.
• Accurately distinguish and count microbial recoveries (mold and bacteria).
• Enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and worldwide regulatory requirements.
• Recognize non‑conformances.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and enterprise software (e.g., JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, LIMS).
• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to gown qualify for Grade A/B area.
• Position sometimes requires extended periods of standing.
• Ability to wear applicable PPE.
• Duties may require overtime work, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office and laboratory equipment is required.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• Ability to qualify for 20/25 corrected vision and pass color blindness test.
