Position Summary
Multiple post‑doctoral positions are available in the Trapped Ion / Quantum Information group at Indiana University, Bloomington. The positions begin as early as July 1, 2025. Topics include the experimental quantum simulation of chemical and condensed‑matter systems using 1‑D and 2‑D ion arrays, and the development and optimization of quantum algorithms for hybrid quantum simulators.
Responsibilities- Conduct experimental quantum simulations of chemical and condensed‑matter systems using ion arrays.
- Develop and optimize quantum algorithms for hybrid quantum simulators.
- Collaborate with faculty and postdoctoral researchers in the group.
- PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Experience with ion traps and quantum information experiments.
